Sanding Feliu ,
Director of the Cap de Creus and Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Parks

His story

An ornithologist by training, passionate about wildlife since childhood, Ponç Feliu now directs two major natural parks on the Costa Brava: Cap de Creus, a mineral territory sculpted by the Tramuntana wind, and Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, wetlands that are a haven for migratory birds. His role combines management, mediation, and education, with a network of schools he launched to raise awareness among younger generations. He advocates for responsible tourism, mindful of the fragility of the landscapes.

"Preserving nature is a collective act."
